人権方針｜Human Rights Policy

一般社団法人鎌倉サステナビリティ研究所（以下、当法人）は、事業活動において関わるすべての人の人権、人格、個性および多様な価値観を尊重します。当法人は、「世界人権宣言」および「国連ビジネスと人権に関する指導原則」に基づき、事業活動を通じて人権を尊重する責任を果たします。

本方針は、当法人の職員のみならず、調査対象者、インタビュー協力者、地域住民、パートナー団体の担当者等、事業活動を通じて当法人が関わるすべての人々を対象とします。

当法人は、いかなる差別的言動、暴力行為、セクシュアルハラスメント、パワーハラスメントその他個人の尊厳を損なう行為も認めません。

差別およびハラスメントの禁止については就業規則に明記し、違反行為があった場合には懲戒の対象となることを定めています。ハラスメント等に関する相談は、当法人のAnti-Harassment and Anti-Discrimination Policyに定める手続きに従って受け付け、迅速かつ適切な対応を行います。重大な懸念事項については、Whistleblowing Policy（内部通報規程）に定める通報窓口を通じて報告することもできます。相談者および事実確認に協力した方に対して、不利益な取扱いは一切行いません。対応にあたっては、プライバシーの保護を徹底します。

当法人は、本方針に基づき、事業活動全体を通じて、すべての人が生まれながらにして有する基本的権利である人権を尊重する責任を果たしてまいります。

マネジメントと継続的改善

当法人は、本方針の実効性を確保するため、年1回のモニタリング委員会で取組状況を確認・見直し、継続的な改善を図ります。

Kamakura Sustainability Institute (hereinafter referred to as “the Institute”) respects the human rights, dignity, individuality, and diverse values of all individuals involved in its activities. The Institute fulfills its responsibility to respect human rights through its business activities, in accordance with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.

This Policy applies not only to the Institute’s staff but to all individuals engaged through its activities, including research subjects, interview participants, community members, and partner organization representatives.

The Institute does not tolerate any discriminatory language or behavior, violent acts, sexual harassment, power harassment, or any other acts that damage individual dignity.

The prohibition of discrimination and harassment is explicitly stated in our employment regulations, and violations are subject to disciplinary action. Concerns regarding harassment shall be accepted in accordance with the procedures set out in the Institute’s Anti-Harassment and Anti-Discrimination Policy and will be addressed promptly and appropriately. Serious concerns may also be reported through the channel designated in the Institute’s Whistleblowing Policy. No disadvantageous treatment will be given to those who seek consultation or cooperate in fact-finding investigations. In responding to consultations, confidentiality and privacy protection will be thoroughly maintained.

Based on this Policy, the Institute will fulfill its responsibility to respect human rights—which are fundamental rights inherent to all human beings—throughout all of its activities.

Management and Continuous Improvement

To ensure the effectiveness of this Policy, the Institute reviews its implementation status through an annual Monitoring Committee and pursues continuous improvement.
